Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.25 per cent), Bosch Ltd.(down 0.2 per cent), MRF Ltd.(down 0.18 per cent), Bharat Forge Ltd.(down 0.07 per cent) and TVS Motor Company Ltd.(down 0.06 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Auto index was up 0.38 per cent at 16057.0 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 29.5 points at 19756.55, while the BSE Sensex was up 127.51 points at 66393.07.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.
Shares of JP Power, Vodafone Idea, Reliance Power, YES Bank and Indian Railway Fin were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Trans & Rectif, Mazagon Dock Ship, Graphite India, Bombay Burmah and Usha Martin hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Penta Gold, Bombay Metrics Suppl, FutureLifestyleFash, TCNS Clothing and Khaitan(India)hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
