Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: JP Power(number of shares traded: 16.91 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 13.03 crore), RattanIndia Power (number of shares traded: 12.05 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 11.16 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 8.31 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 7.26 crore), Indian Railway Fin(number of shares traded: 6.11 crore), Brightcom Group(number of shares traded: 5.04 crore), IRB Infra Dev.(number of shares traded: 2.95 crore) and Vikas Multicorp(number of shares traded: 2.87 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:24AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 20.95 points up at 19748.0, while BSE Sensex was up 108.84 points at 66374.4 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, NTPC Ltd.(up 2.16 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 1.70 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.65 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 0.85 per cent) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 0.77 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.39 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 0.82 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 0.61 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 0.55 per cent) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 0.51 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
