Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: JP Power(number of shares traded: 32.20 crore), Indian Railway Fin(number of shares traded: 14.06 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 13.95 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 11.49 crore), RattanIndia Power (number of shares traded: 8.48 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 5.77 crore), Zomato(number of shares traded: 5.14 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 4.18 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 3.21 crore) and Rail Vikas Nigam(number of shares traded: 3.14 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:05AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 11.35 points up at 19622.4, while BSE Sensex was up 39.8 points at 65920.32 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Coal India Ltd.(up 3.60 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.73 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.13 per cent), UPL Ltd.(up 0.86 per cent) and State Bank of India(up 0.74 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 2.46 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 0.95 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.94 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.84 per cent) and Cipla Ltd.(down 0.81 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
