In the Nifty index, Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 3.85 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.80 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 1.66 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 1.44 per cent) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 1.31 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.67 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.64 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.59 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.15 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.13 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
