NLC India(down 3.05%), SJVN(down 3.05%), Voltamp Transformers(down 2.71%), DPSC(down 2.32%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(down 2.26%), PTC India(down 2.12%), Inox Wind Energy(down 1.78%), Kalpataru Projects International(down 1.74%), Hitachi Energy India(down 1.50%) and NTPC(down 1.15%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 36.15 points up at 19611.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 100.26 points at 65880.52.
Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 3.85%), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.8%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 1.66%), Cipla Ltd.(up 1.43%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 1.3%), Titan Company Ltd.(up 1.27%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 1.2%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.02%), ITC Ltd.(up 0.98%) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 0.97%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.67%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.63%), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.59%), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.15%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.12%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.06%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 0.82%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.81%), Wipro Ltd.(down 0.59%) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.44%) closed in the red.
