Agro Phos(up 11.31%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 2.82%), G S F C(up 2.03%), Coromandel International(up 1.51%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 1.11%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 1.06%), National Fertilizer(up 0.94%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 0.81%), Madras Fertlizers(up 0.59%) and Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 0.37%) stood among the top gainers.
Rama Phosphates(down 2.67%), Aries Agro(down 2.13%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 1.94%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.89%), Sikko Industries(down 1.44%), ZUARIAGRO(down 0.81%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 0.78%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.58%), Paradeep Phosphates(down 0.55%) and KRISHANA(down 0.47%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 46.1 points up at 19574.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 152.12 points at 65780.26.
Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 3.3%), Coal India Ltd.(up 3.04%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 2.07%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.59%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.38%), ITC Ltd.(up 1.28%), Titan Company Ltd.(up 1.15%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 1.12%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.02%) and Nestle India Ltd.(up 0.99%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.48%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.42%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.42%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.96%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.89%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.6%), Wipro Ltd.(down 0.51%), NTPC Ltd.(down 0.5%), State Bank of India(down 0.44%) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.43%) closed in the red.
