    Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

    NEW DELHI: Indian Railway Fin(Rs. 1658.92 crore), Rail Vikas Nigam(Rs. 1603.82 crore), YES Bank(Rs. 740.59 crore), BHEL(Rs. 599.14 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 468.07 crore), RIL(Rs. 436.56 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 390.60 crore), MTAR Technologies(Rs. 360.66 crore), Adani Ent.(Rs. 359.83 crore) and Maruti Suzuki(Rs. 350.81 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:50AM in Monday's session.

    The NSE Nifty index traded 2.8 points up at 19438.1, while BSE Sensex was down 73.97 points at 65313.19 as of 10:50AM(IST)on September 04.

    In the Nifty index, Tata Steel Ltd.(up 4.05 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 3.80 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 3.38 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 2.88 per cent) and Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 2.02 per cent) were among the top gainers.

    On the other hand, Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.26 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.21 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.06 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.94 per cent) and Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent) were among the top losers.
