Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:29AM

Lexus Granito(up 3.26%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 1.44%), NMDC Ltd(up 1.02%), Oriental Trimex(up 0.67%), KIOCL(up 0.55%), MOIL(up 0.49%) and Coal India(up 0.17%) were among the top gainers.

Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 2.25%), Aro Granite Industries(down 1.76%), Pokarna(down 0.15%) and Ashapura Minechem(down 0.15%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 10.3 points up at 19316.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 6.68 points at 65003.28 at around 10:29AM.

Tech Mahindra(up 1.6%), Adani Enterprises(up 1.34%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.27%), UPL Ltd(up 1.22%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.21%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.03%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.01%), Hindalco Industries(up 0.86%), Cipla(up 0.82%) and JSW Steel(up 0.67%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Bharti Airtel(down 1.79%), Axis Bank(down 0.96%), Reliance Industries(down 0.75%), IndusInd Bank(down 0.65%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.55%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.46%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 0.41%), Britannia Industries(down 0.33%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.26%) and Grasim Industries(down 0.26%) were trading in the red.
