Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 1.61% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 09:59AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

Macrotech Developers(up 4.92 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(up 3.9 per cent), DLF(up 2.34 per cent), SOBHA(up 1.52 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises(up 1.29 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Phoenix Mills(down 1.06 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 1.61 per cent at 546.6 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 42.05 points at 19348.1, while the BSE Sensex was up 114.8 points at 65111.4.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 were trading in the green, while 12 were in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power, JP Power, Jio Financial Servic and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Gokaldas Export, A G Universal, Wonder Fibromats, Transwarr Fin and Pavna Industries hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Penta Gold, Rajesh Exports, Rajnandini Metal, Shrenik and Accuracy Shipping hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
