Triveni Engineering & Industries(down 1.49%), Bannari Amman Sugars(down 1.35%), Simbhaoli Sugars(down 1.17%), Ugar Sugar Works(down 0.75%), Dhampur Sugar Mills(down 0.57%) and Shree Renuka Sugars(down 0.11%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 40.25 points up at 19306.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 110.09 points at 64996.6.
Power Grid Corporation of India(up 2.69%), Larsen & Toubro(up 2.16%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.92%), Cipla(up 1.61%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.44%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 1.11%), HDFC Bank(up 1.04%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.97%), Maruti Suzuki(up 0.97%) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(up 0.82%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Reliance Industries(down 1.0%), Adani Enterprises(down 0.93%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.82%), Nestle India(down 0.69%), HCL Technologies(down 0.65%), Titan Company Ltd(down 0.61%), Tata Motors(down 0.45%), ITC(down 0.44%), Wipro(down 0.4%) and Tech Mahindra(down 0.4%) closed in the red.
