    Reliance has announced the upcoming launch of Jio Airfiber, a wireless internet service that aims to provide fiber-like speeds without the need for physical wires. The service will be launched on September 19th, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. Jio Airfiber will use a pan-India 5G network to deliver high-speed internet to homes and offices, with the potential to connect up to 150,000 users per day.

    Reliance today announced the launch of Jio Airfiber on the auspicious occassion of Ganesh Chaturthi next month.

    "Today, I'm delighted to announce that JioAirFiber will launch on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on 19th September, giving us another avenue for customer value and revenue growth in the untapped Indian home segment," Mukesh Ambarni announced in his address to shareholder in Reliance's 46th Annual General Meeting.

    "Jio AirFiber uses a pan India 5G network to bypass the need of last mile fiber. With Jio AirFiber we can supercharge internet expansion to 150,000 connections per day," Mukesh added.

    At last year's AGM, Jio had revealed the AirFiber 5G hotspot device. The product has not yet been made available for purchase. AirFiber is a 5G hotspot device that provides wireless fiber-like 5G speeds at home or in the office.

    Jio Airfiber intends to provide fibre-like speed over the air without the use of wires. According to the information on the Jio website, JioAirFiber can only be utilized by plugging it in and turning it on. Users will be able to have their own personal Wi-Fi hotspot in their house, which will be connected to ultra-high-speed internet via True 5G.
    What's the price for Jio Air Fiber?
    However, Jio didn't reveal the price for Jio Airfiber but as per several reports, the device is likely to be around Rs 5,000. Jio telecom competitor Airtel Xstream AirFiber costs Rs Rs 4,794 for 6 months and requires a security deposit of Rs 2,500, for a total of Rs 7,294.

    How and where to buy Jio Air Fiber?
    The Reliance has only reveled the launch date of Jio AirFiber. However, like other Jio devices, the Jio AirFiber is also likely to be available through Jio store, Jio apps and website.
