Coromandel International(down 2.79%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 2.36%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 1.87%), National Fertilizer(down 1.38%), KRISHANA(down 1.21%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 0.92%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 0.71%), Rama Phosphates(down 0.48%), Madras Fertlizers(down 0.46%) and G S F C(down 0.45%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 120.9 points down at 19265.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 365.83 points at 64886.51.
Bajaj Finserv(up 2.4%), Asian Paints(up 1.04%), Bajaj Finance(up 1.04%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 0.92%), Bharti Airtel(up 0.47%), SBI Life(up 0.2%), Titan Company Ltd(up 0.2%), Axis Bank(up 0.18%) and ICICI Bank(up 0.15%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 2.17%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 1.92%), JSW Steel(down 1.87%), Larsen & Toubro(down 1.85%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.75%), Adani Enterprises(down 1.72%), UltraTech Cement(down 1.7%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.68%), ITC(down 1.67%) and HCL Technologies(down 1.48%) closed in the red.
