Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 4.60%), Sikko Industries(down 0.88%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.80%), ZUARIAGRO(down 0.44%), Rama Phosphates(down 0.16%) and Coromandel International(down 0.09%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 47.55 points up at 19444.0, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 213.27 points at 65433.3.
Hindalco Industries(up 2.42%), Axis Bank(up 2.32%), ICICI Bank(up 1.56%), State Bank of India(up 1.48%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.45%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.39%), Tata Steel(up 1.19%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.15%), SBI Life(up 1.05%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.96%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Adani Enterprises(down 6.22%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 3.37%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.22%), Bharti Airtel(down 1.08%), Tata Motors(down 1.02%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.01%), ITC(down 0.84%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.61%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.52%) and UltraTech Cement(down 0.51%) closed in the red.
