Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 17.77 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 9.99 crore), South Indian Bnk(number of shares traded: 7.84 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 6.05 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 4.84 crore), RattanIndia Power (number of shares traded: 4.79 crore), Alok Industries(number of shares traded: 4.77 crore), Easy Trip Planners(number of shares traded: 3.96 crore), UCO Bank(number of shares traded: 3.64 crore) and Dish TV India(number of shares traded: 3.60 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:21AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 14.65 points up at 19411.1, while BSE Sensex was up 35.73 points at 65255.76 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 3.05 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.93 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.19 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.10 per cent) and Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.05 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.11 per cent), ITC Ltd.(down 0.97 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.94 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 0.85 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.84 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
