Oriental Trimex(down 7.24%), Ashapura Minechem(down 4.73%), Aro Granite Industries(down 2.93%), Lexus Granito(down 2.69%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 2.64%), Coal India(down 2.09%), NMDC Ltd(down 1.24%), Pokarna(down 0.40%), KIOCL(down 0.33%) and MOIL(down 0.14%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 55.1 points down at 19310.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 202.36 points at 64948.66.
Adani Enterprises(up 3.94%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 3.24%), Eicher Motors(up 1.55%), Maruti Suzuki(up 0.86%), Nestle India(up 0.75%), Reliance Industries(up 0.74%), Britannia Industries(up 0.74%), Axis Bank(up 0.69%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.45%) and Tata Motors(up 0.33%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp(down 2.14%), Coal India(down 2.09%), Tata Consultancy(down 2.0%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.81%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.7%), Infosys(down 1.61%), Wipro(down 1.4%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.38%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.33%) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.13%) closed in the red.
