In the Nifty 50 index, Infosys, HCL Tech, ITC, Tech Mahindra and Apollo Hospital were among the top gainers on the NSE.
Hindalco, Divis Labs, Britannia, Hero MotoCorp and HDFC Life were among the top losers.
