In the Nifty index, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 2.51 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 2.45 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 2.09 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.88 per cent) and Infosys Ltd.(up 1.79 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.86 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 1.40 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.24 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.20 per cent) and Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 1.16 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
