Stock market update: Sugar stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading lower on Monday at 11:05AM

Kothari Sugars & Chemicals(up 3.52%), BAJAJHIND(up 3.13%), DCM Shriram Industries(up 1.38%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(up 0.93%), Uttam Sugar Mills(up 0.46%) and Bannari Amman Sugars(up 0.40%) were among the top gainers.

Mawana Sugars(down 6.08%), Shree Renuka Sugars(down 2.60%), Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals(down 2.29%), Ugar Sugar Works(down 1.81%), EID Parry(down 1.51%), KCP Sugar & Industries(down 1.51%), Sakthi Sugars(down 1.19%), Triveni Engineering & Industries(down 1.05%), Rana Sugars(down 1.04%) and Dhampur Sugar Mills(down 1.00%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 109.35 points down at 19318.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 305.74 points at 65016.91 at around 11:05AM.

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.27%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.66%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.65%), Reliance Industries(up 0.52%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.47%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.42%), Nestle India(up 0.28%) and NTPC(up 0.26%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Adani Enterprises(down 4.03%), JSW Steel(down 3.06%), Hindalco Industries(down 2.92%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 2.63%), Eicher Motors(down 2.57%), Tata Steel(down 2.41%), State Bank of India(down 2.11%), Bajaj Finserv(down 2.09%), UPL Ltd(down 2.0%) and Tata Motors(down 1.96%) were trading in the red.
