No-confidence Motion LIVE: PM Modi Calls Crime Against Women in Manipur 'Unforgivable'; No-trust Motion Defeated in Lok Sabha

As the no-confidence motion was defeated, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech, the Lok Sabha was adjourned till 11 am on Friday.

The no-confidence motion, brought by Opposition’s INDIA bloc, was defeated following a voice vote in Lok Sabha on Thursday evening.

Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has been suspended from Lok Sabha for the remaining session for his comparison of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Nirav Modi.

Prime Minister Narendra further assured that efforts were underway by Centre, state government to punish the perpetrators behind the Manipur violence.

While discussions on the Manipur issue, PM Modi said, “whatever was said about ‘Maa Bharti’ in this House has hurt the sentiments of people of the country.”

“Some people talked about the death of ‘Maa Bharti’, what can be more unfortunate than this,” he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that peace will be restored in Manipur and that his government “will leave no stones unturned for this.”

Speaking on the Manipur issue, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the we were reading to speak and discuss it, but the Opposition disrupted that.

“Home minister Amit Shah spoke at length on the Manipur situation in the Lok Sabha. The intent was to spread the message to the people of India. However, the arrogant Opposition stopped the functioning of the House,” he said.

PM Modi took a jibe at the opposition’s ‘Mohabbat ki dukaan’ dubbing it was ‘loot ki dukaan, jhooth ka bazaar,’ that was full of hate, scams and dishonesty. This dukaan, Modi adds had emergency, partition, Sikh riots among other things.

PM Modi said he knew about Rahul Gandhi’s mind but now he also knows what’s in his heart. “Unke dimaag ke haal ko lambe samay se jaanta hoon, ab unke dil ka bhi pta chal gaya,” he said.

PM Modi took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Hanuman Ji Ne Lanka Nahi Jalayi…’ remark and said Congress is decimated to 40 seats from 400 members due to their ego.

Continuing his attack on the Opposition parties,  Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Lok Sabha said that everyone in I.N.D.I.A. bloc wants to be the prime minister.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday said Opposition loves defaming India and everything to do with it, adding that they didn’t even trust country-made Covid-19 vaccines.

“Today, whenever someone says anything ill about the nation, they believe in it,” Modi said.

PM Modi said the opposition added two Is — one of 26 parties and other is of one family — and said they even broke India’s name I.N.D.I.A. They even stole NDA, he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a jibe at I.N.D.I.A Bloc and said they cremated the UPA in Bengaluru. “I want to sympathise with the opposition. Some days ago in Bangalore you cremated UPA. On one side, they were cremating UPA,” he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued his jibe on the Opposition claiming that when Kashmir was “burning with terrorism,” their love for Pakistan could be seen. “We did surgical and air strikes but they didn’t trust our forces,” he added.
