Rain news live updates: Cloudburst reported from Himachal's Sirmaur, severe waterlogging in Uttarakhand's Rishikesh
Heavy rains caused severe waterlogging in the Dhalwala and Khara areas of Uttarakhand's Rishikesh on Wednesday night. Many houses have been submerged in water as the water level in the Rishikesh saline source rose, said officials.
Meanwhile a cloudburst struck the Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday, raising the water levels of the Giri River.
Visuals showed water from the river gushing into nearby residential areas.
the combined death toll from rains, floods and landslides in Himachal Pradesh since the onset of monsoon on June 24 reached 223. Speaking to ANI on Wednesday, state Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi said Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu was overseeing the ongoing restoration work in the state.

The operation was conducted along with J&K Police in which one hand grenade and two AK magazines with 56 live rounds have been recovered from the possession of the individual.
