Debate on opposition's no-confidence motion begins in Lok Sabha. Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi initiates no-confidence motion debate. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, whose membership was restored on Monday following a Supreme Court direction, is likely to speak in no-trust debate today.
Five ministers will speak during the debate - Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman, Smriti Irani, Jyotiraditya Scindia and Kiren Rijiju. Five other BJP MPs will also participate in the debate. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to reply to the debate on Thursday.
The numbers are comfortably stacked in favour of the government and the Opposition is expected to utilise the opportunity to demonstrate its newly firmed up unity to take on the Modi-led BJP in the Lok Sabha elections next year.

Nishikant Dubey To Lead No-Confidence Debate For BJP In Lok Sabha
Accordong to news agency ANI, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member Nishikant Dubey will be the first speaker from the BJP on a no-confidence debate in Lok Sabha today, party sources said.
Meanwhile, from Congress, Rahul Gandhi whose parliamentary membership was restored on Monday, will open the discussion on the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha.
