National Fertilizer(down 4.78%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 2.12%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 1.83%), Rama Phosphates(down 1.70%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.60%), Sikko Industries(down 1.39%), Agro Phos(down 1.31%), Madras Fertlizers(down 1.09%), G S F C(down 0.98%) and Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.69%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 26.45 points down at 19570.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 106.98 points at 65846.5.
Hero MotoCorp(up 3.82%), SBI Life(up 3.59%), Cipla(up 3.5%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.84%), Wipro(up 1.26%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 1.15%), State Bank of India(up 0.92%), Bajaj Finance(up 0.72%), LTIMindtree Ltd(up 0.7%) and Axis Bank(up 0.58%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Adani Enterprises(down 2.98%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 2.6%), Hindalco Industries(down 2.17%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 1.78%), Divis Laboratories(down 1.64%), JSW Steel(down 1.45%), Britannia Industries(down 1.17%), Coal India(down 1.16%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.05%) and Nestle India(down 1.02%) closed in the red.
