Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 11:10AM

Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 7.78%), KRISHANA(up 4.12%), Aries Agro(up 1.37%), Coromandel International(up 0.85%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 0.69%), Madras Fertlizers(up 0.64%), Agro Phos(up 0.58%), National Fertilizer(up 0.29%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 0.23%) and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.17%) were among the top gainers.

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 2.35%), Sikko Industries(down 1.21%), G S F C(down 1.01%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(down 0.91%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.85%), Rama Phosphates(down 0.71%), Paradeep Phosphates(down 0.30%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 0.30%) and ZUARIAGRO(down 0.16%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 29.65 points down at 19567.65, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 95.34 points at 65858.14 at around 11:10AM.

Hero MotoCorp(up 4.22%), Cipla(up 2.73%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.24%), Axis Bank(up 1.07%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.92%), Wipro(up 0.91%), Titan Company Ltd(up 0.65%), State Bank of India(up 0.55%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.53%) and Maruti Suzuki(up 0.52%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India(down 2.68%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 2.5%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 2.06%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.66%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.51%), NTPC(down 1.35%), Coal India(down 1.29%), JSW Steel(down 1.11%), Adani Enterprises(down 1.07%) and Britannia Industries(down 1.05%) were trading in the red.
