Crompton Greaves shares down 0.22% as Sensex falls

Shares of Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd. fell 0.22 per cent to Rs 300.65 in Tuesday's session as of 01:03PM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 114.73 points lower at 65838.75.

Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 428.8 and a 52-week low of Rs 251.25 on NSE. Around 51245 shares changed hands on the counter till 01:03PM (IST).

The stock opened at Rs 302.05 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 303.35 and Rs 298.0 during the session so far. The scrip quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 41.98, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 7.24 and price to book value (PB) of 7.01, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 18.38.

Promoter/ FII Holding
The promoters held 2.54 per cent stake in the company as of August 08, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 35.0 per cent and 37.49 per cent, respectively.

With a market capitalisation of Rs 19446.25 crore, the company operates in the Electronics/Electricals industry. For the quarter ended 31-Mar-2023, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 1807.73 crore, up 17.58 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 1537.51 crore and up 15.14 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net profit of Rs 131.16 crore for the latest quarter, down 25.71 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.
