This is part of the narrative I have been suggesting (to much criticism) for at least a year. QCOM is in a downward spiral. Can it pull out of that spiral? Maybe, but it will require a complete re-focusing of its enterprise. The success of that turn is not at all assured. It is not "underpriced" by any means. It is a highly speculative undertaking. For the true believers on here, sure - you've lost a lot of money and there is no assurance QCOM will come back. For those getting in right now, it is a speculative investment. Maybe you win big. Or maybe it tanks. The CEO is to my mind nothing more than a really sophisticated used-car salesman - spinning wonderful yarns. But, sometimes that's all it takes in that position since the engineers and value creators work several levels below him.
