GE Power India Limited(up 11.11%), Reliance Power(up 6.76%), Jyoti Structures(up 4.98%), Hitachi Energy India(up 1.71%), KEC International(up 1.36%), Kalpataru Projects International(up 0.75%) and Energy Development Company(up 0.29%) stood among the top gainers.
NHPC(down 5.29%), DPSC(down 5.11%), KKV Agro(down 5.00%), Suzlon Energy(down 4.15%), RTNPOWER(down 3.85%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 3.73%), Indo Tech Transformers(down 3.64%), Tata Power Company(down 3.54%), SJVN(down 3.34%) and K.P.I. Global Infras(down 3.24%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 207.0 points down at 19526.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 676.53 points at 65782.78.
Divis Laboratories(up 1.4%), Nestle India(up 1.28%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.7%), Asian Paints(up 0.6%), Tech Mahindra(up 0.19%), UltraTech Cement(up 0.07%) and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.02%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp(down 3.5%), Tata Steel(down 3.45%), Tata Motors(down 3.26%), Bajaj Finserv(down 2.88%), NTPC(down 2.69%), Eicher Motors(down 2.44%), Coal India(down 2.41%), LTIMindtree Ltd(down 2.24%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 2.23%) and State Bank of India(down 2.19%) closed in the red.
