Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 1.85% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded negative around 11:26AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.

Macrotech Developers(up 0.72 per cent) were among the top gainers.

DLF(down 3.7 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 2.57 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 2.53 per cent), SOBHA(down 2.23 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers(down 1.61 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was down 1.85 per cent at 556.25 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 18.8 points at 19735.0, while the BSE Sensex was down 53.53 points at 66474.14.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.

Shares of Indian Railway Fin, Reliance Power, Suzlon Energy, Ujjivan SFB and NTPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Orient Green Pwr, KIOCL, Jeena Sikho Lifecare, Dilip Buildcon and STEL Holdings hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SMVD Poly Pack, Advitiya Trade India, Jalan Transolutions, Greenchef Appliances and UPL hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
