In the Nifty index, Coal India Ltd.(up 4.84 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 3.11 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.51 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 1.95 per cent) and LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 1.75 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 5.36 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 3.17 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 2.73 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.63 per cent) and Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 1.62 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
