Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:55AM

Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 4.62%), Paradeep Phosphates(up 4.23%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 3.17%), Madras Fertlizers(up 2.75%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 2.27%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(up 1.88%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.30%), G S F C(up 1.21%), Coromandel International(up 0.90%) and Aries Agro(up 0.84%) were among the top gainers.

Rama Phosphates(down 0.90%), Agro Phos(down 0.14%) and Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 0.04%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 20.65 points down at 19733.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 55.78 points at 66471.89 at around 10:55AM.

NTPC(up 3.25%), Coal India(up 2.33%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.51%), Eicher Motors(up 1.24%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.84%), LTIMindtree Ltd(up 0.84%), Tata Motors(up 0.64%), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.59%), Hindalco Industries(up 0.5%) and Infosys(up 0.48%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India(down 4.85%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 2.11%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 1.47%), SBI Life(down 1.25%), Adani Enterprises(down 1.19%), Asian Paints(down 1.11%), Bajaj Finserv(down 0.97%), Reliance Industries(down 0.95%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 0.94%) and IndusInd Bank(down 0.91%) were trading in the red.
