Madras Fertlizers(down 3.81%), ZUARIAGRO(down 3.42%), G S F C(down 2.71%), Coromandel International(down 2.49%), KRISHANA(down 1.56%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 1.10%), National Fertilizer(down 0.84%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 0.82%), Aries Agro(down 0.78%) and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.56%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 13.85 points down at 19646.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 106.62 points at 66160.2.
NTPC(up 3.99%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 2.99%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(up 2.52%), Adani Enterprises(up 1.43%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.41%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 1.38%), Bajaj Finance(up 1.34%), JSW Steel(up 1.31%), Hero MotoCorp(up 1.13%) and TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 1.09%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bajaj Finserv(down 1.84%), HDFC Bank(down 1.77%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.53%), Tata Motors(down 1.3%), HCL Technologies(down 1.24%), Tata Consultancy(down 1.22%), Axis Bank(down 1.04%), IndusInd Bank(down 0.96%), Infosys(down 0.93%) and Maruti Suzuki(down 0.85%) closed in the red.
