Body found in car on I-96 near Joy Road

Michigan State Police investigated a body found by a Michigan Department of Transportation crew on Interstate 96 Monday afternoon.

A vehicle from the Transportation Department pulled behind a vehicle when workers saw the body in a car on eastbound I-96 near Joy Road, according to a tweet from the MSP's Second District.

The on-scene investigation was completed Monday night and autopsy results were pending, MSP said.

"Remember, there's hope and help available," a tweet from MSP said Monday night. "If you or someone you know is struggling, call the 988 suicide prevention line for support."
