    Avenue Supermart shares gain 0.42% as Sensex rises

    Shares of Avenue Supermarts Ltd. traded 0.42 per cent up at Rs 3683.15 at 11:11AM (IST) on Tuesday, even as BSE benchmark Sensex gained 2.2 points to 66386.98. The scrip had settled at Rs 3668.05 in the previous session.

    The stock quoted a 52-week high and 52-week low of Rs 4606.0 and Rs 3292.65, respectively.

    As per BSE data, total traded volume on the counter till 11:11AM (IST) stood at 11:11AM shares with turnover at Rs 151.0 crore.

    At the current price, the stock trades at 100.29 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 36.79 per share and 13.72 times its price-to-book value, the exchange data showed.

    A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher share price today because of growth expectations in the future. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.

    The Beta value of the stock, which measures its volatility in relation to the broader market, stood at 1.0.

    Promoters held 74.65 per cent stake in the company as of 30-Jun-2023, while FIIs owned 8.17 per cent and DIIs 7.61 per cent.
