During a group photo session, rebel NCP leader Ajit Pawar, Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, Nagaland CM Rio and AIADMK general secretary Palaniswami stood in the front row with Modi, home minister Amit Shah, defence minister Rajnath Singh, transport minister Nitin Gadkari and Nadda. They also were given seats with Modi, Shah, Nadda, Singh and Gadkari at the venue.
"It is a matter of immense joy that our valued NDA partners from across India will be attending the meeting in Delhi today. Ours is a time-tested alliance which seeks to further national progress and fulfil regional aspirations," Modi tweeted before the meeting. Union minister Pralhad Joshi, BJP general secretary Vinod Tawde and other leaders welcomed the allies, giving each of them a bouquet and a stole. Bonhomie was visible between NDA allies such as uncle-nephew Pashupati Paras and Chirag Paswan hugging each other after bitter fallout over control of LJP.
A resolution moved by Shinde hailed Modi's leadership and NDA government's welfare and developmental work. It was seconded by AIADMK leader Palaniswami.
