Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.06 per cent), Divis Laboratories(down 0.94 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals(down 0.71 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(down 0.69 per cent) and Granules India(down 0.64 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.36 per cent at 14002.6 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 64.2 points at 19775.65, while the BSE Sensex was up 242.36 points at 66832.29.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, PNB, Brightcom Group and AmaraRaja Batteries were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Anmol India, We Win, SMS Pharma, Neuland Labs and Intnl Conveyors hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Uravi T and Wedge, Bombay Metrics Suppl, Aartech Solonics, Synoptics Technologi and Jet Airways hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
