AgenciesShares of Federal Bank(up 1.73 per cent), ICICI Bank(up 0.7 per cent) and AU Small Finance Bank(up 0.32 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Bank of Baroda(down 1.76 per cent), State Bank of India(down 1.46 per cent), Punjab National Bank(down 1.2 per cent), IDFCBANK(down 0.73 per cent) and Bandhan Bank(down 0.49 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Bank index closed 0.09 per cent down at 45410.85.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 37.8 points at 19749.25, while the BSE Sensex stood up 205.21 points at 66795.14.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 ended in the green, while 30 closed in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Reliance Power, PNB and Suzlon Energy were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Anmol India, We Win, Ganesh Housing, Dreamfolks Services and SMS Pharma hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Quality Foils(India, Cell Point(India), Uravi T and Wedge, Bombay Metrics Suppl and Aartech Solonics hit their fresh 52-week lows.
