Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(down 5.30%), JSW Energy(down 3.71%), Inox wind(down 1.67%), RTNPOWER(down 1.06%), Karma Energy(down 0.59%), NTPC(down 0.51%), KEC International(down 0.47%), GE Power India Limited(down 0.41%), Kalpataru Projects International(down 0.37%) and Gujarat Industries Power(down 0.22%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 146.95 points up at 19711.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 529.03 points at 66589.93.
State Bank of India(up 2.86%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 2.7%), Wipro(up 2.52%), Grasim Industries(up 2.27%), HDFC Bank(up 2.09%), Reliance Industries(up 2.04%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.5%), Adani Enterprises(up 1.37%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.12%) and IndusInd Bank(up 0.98%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 1.68%), Hero MotoCorp(down 1.43%), Tata Motors(down 1.02%), Bharti Airtel(down 0.95%), JSW Steel(down 0.83%), Titan Company Ltd(down 0.72%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.66%), Tata Consultancy(down 0.65%), Bajaj Auto(down 0.54%) and NTPC(down 0.51%) closed in the red.
