Macrotech Developers(up 1.16 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 0.85 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(up 0.49 per cent), Phoenix Mills(up 0.41 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers(up 0.24 per cent) were among the top gainers.
DLF(down 1.86 per cent), Oberoi Realty(down 1.17 per cent), Godrej Properties(down 0.52 per cent), SOBHA(down 0.46 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(down 0.24 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Realty index was down 0.41 per cent at 524.7 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 21.45 points at 19460.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 88.31 points at 65706.15.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.
Shares of Reliance Power, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Zomato and NHPC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Premier Exp, Ashoka Metcast, Zen Tech, Onward Tech and Elgi Equipments hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Pentagon Rubber, Magson Retail & Dist, Aatmaj Healthcare Ltd., Jainam Ferro Alloys and Cell Point(India)hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
