Bohra Industries(down 4.98%), Sikko Industries(down 2.10%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 2.08%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 1.79%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 1.55%), Madras Fertlizers(down 1.43%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 1.37%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 1.15%), National Fertilizer(down 0.76%) and KRISHANA(down 0.63%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 55.1 points down at 19384.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 223.94 points at 65393.9.
Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.85%), Eicher Motors(up 1.19%), JSW Steel(up 1.04%), Nestle India(up 0.91%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.62%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.61%), Grasim Industries(up 0.57%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(up 0.45%), SBI Life(up 0.43%) and Asian Paints(up 0.42%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Adani Enterprises(down 1.44%), UltraTech Cement(down 1.27%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 1.2%), Infosys(down 1.13%), Tata Motors(down 1.12%), HDFC Bank(down 0.94%), HDFC(down 0.84%), NTPC(down 0.83%), Bajaj Auto(down 0.8%) and Larsen & Toubro(down 0.79%) closed in the red.
