Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.01%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Tuesday.

Shares of Oberoi Realty(up 2.26 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 1.63 per cent), Brigade Enterprises(up 0.58 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate(up 0.08 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Macrotech Developers(down 2.06 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 1.22 per cent), SOBHA(down 0.57 per cent), DLF(down 0.38 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers(down 0.27 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.01 per cent down at 526.85.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 83.5 points at 19439.4, while the BSE Sensex stood up 273.67 points at 65617.84.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 35 ended in the green, while 15 closed in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Reliance Power, IDFC First Bank and BEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Premier Exp, Cyient DLM, Elecon Engg Co, Bharat Dynamics and Zen Tech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Simplex Infra, Magson Retail & Dist, Greenchef Appliances, Cell Point(India)and Pentagon Rubber hit their fresh 52-week lows.
