Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 5.21%), Pokarna(up 3.51%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 3.51%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(up 0.33%), Aro Granite Industries(up 0.25%), NMDC Ltd(up 0.19%) and Coal India(up 0.11%) stood among the top gainers.
Oriental Trimex(down 1.64%), Ashapura Minechem(down 1.45%), Lexus Granito(down 1.22%), KIOCL(down 0.59%), MOIL(down 0.16%) and 20 Microns(down 0.11%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 83.5 points up at 19439.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 273.67 points at 65617.84.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 2.61%), Eicher Motors(up 2.49%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(up 1.91%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 1.77%), Maruti Suzuki(up 1.68%), Tata Motors(up 1.59%), ITC(up 1.57%), Asian Paints(up 1.48%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.47%) and Infosys(up 1.46%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, UPL Ltd(down 2.4%), JSW Steel(down 1.63%), Bajaj Finance(down 1.18%), Axis Bank(down 1.13%), HCL Technologies(down 0.85%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.75%), State Bank of India(down 0.68%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.68%), HDFC(down 0.65%) and HDFC Bank(down 0.49%) closed in the red.
