Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 11:22AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 1.62 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(up 1.62 per cent), Lupin(up 1.26 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences(up 1.23 per cent) and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(up 1.22 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Biocon(down 0.67 per cent), Natco Pharma(down 0.48 per cent), Laurus(down 0.43 per cent), Granules India(down 0.4 per cent) and Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals(down 0.39 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.85 per cent at 13869.05 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 143.7 points at 19499.6, while the BSE Sensex was up 483.64 points at 65827.81.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 43 were trading in the green, while 7 were in the red.
Shares of Suzlon Energy, IDFC First Bank, Reliance Power, PNB and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Premier Exp, Mazagon Dock Ship, Gayatri Rubbers, Zen Tech and Lloyds Steels hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Magson Retail & Dist, Greenchef Appliances, Essen Speciality Fil, Cell Point(India)and Pentagon Rubber hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
