Orissa Minerals Development Company(down 4.06%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 2.29%), Ashapura Minechem(down 1.54%), KIOCL(down 1.33%), Aro Granite Industries(down 1.30%), MOIL(down 1.27%), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation(down 1.10%), 20 Microns(down 0.80%), Coal India(down 0.26%) and NMDC Ltd(down 0.14%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 165.5 points down at 19331.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 505.19 points at 65280.45.
Tata Motors(up 2.9%), Titan Company Ltd(up 1.21%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 0.99%), State Bank of India(up 0.19%), Tata Consultancy(up 0.19%), Bharti Airtel(up 0.09%) and SBI Life(up 0.08%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, closed in the red.
