KKV Agro(down 9.57%), Karma Energy(down 3.11%), Power & Instrumentation(Gujarat)(down 2.96%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 2.76%), GE Power India Limited(down 2.55%), NTPC(down 2.11%), Energy Development Company(down 1.93%), NHPC(down 1.81%), DPSC(down 1.54%) and Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(down 1.48%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 165.5 points down at 19331.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 505.19 points at 65280.45.
Tata Motors(up 2.9%), Titan Company Ltd(up 1.21%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 0.99%), State Bank of India(up 0.19%), Tata Consultancy(up 0.19%), Bharti Airtel(up 0.09%) and SBI Life(up 0.08%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 2.88%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 2.76%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 2.59%), IndusInd Bank(down 2.38%), Britannia Industries(down 2.3%), Hindustan Unilever(down 2.14%), NTPC(down 2.11%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.97%), HCL Technologies(down 1.95%) and Bajaj Finance(down 1.85%) closed in the red.
