Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(up 1.85%), MAGADHSUGAR(up 1.68%), BAJAJHIND(up 1.51%), Mawana Sugars(up 1.51%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals(up 0.88%), KCP Sugar & Industries(up 0.20%), K.M.Sugar Mills(up 0.19%) and DCM Shriram Industries(up 0.19%) stood among the top gainers.
Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals(down 3.62%), Simbhaoli Sugars(down 2.99%), Dhampur Sugar Mills(down 1.76%), Uttam Sugar Mills(down 1.47%), AVADHSUGAR(down 1.44%), Bannari Amman Sugars(down 0.97%), Triveni Engineering & Industries(down 0.92%), Rana Sugars(down 0.84%), Ugar Sugar Works(down 0.81%) and Sakthi Sugars(down 0.81%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 133.5 points up at 19322.55, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 486.49 points at 65205.05.
Grasim Industries(up 3.4%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 2.91%), ITC(up 2.58%), Reliance Industries(up 2.57%), Bajaj Finance(up 2.41%), State Bank of India(up 2.2%), UltraTech Cement(up 2.04%), HDFC(up 1.75%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.62%) and Eicher Motors(up 1.42%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.82%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.8%), Bajaj Auto(down 1.72%), Cipla(down 1.3%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.19%), Maruti Suzuki(down 1.19%), Nestle India(down 1.14%), UPL Ltd(down 1.05%), Tata Consultancy(down 0.91%) and Larsen & Toubro(down 0.87%) closed in the red.
