Sudha Mahindra passes away months after industrialist husband Keshub Mahindra's death

Sudha Mahindra, wife of late industrialist and former chairman of Mahindra Group Keshub Mahindra, passed away on Monday, 3 July. Chairman if Mahindra group Anand Mahindra took to Twitter to share the news and said, ‘’She is in a far better place now and I’m sure she is happy to be reunited with my late Uncle Keshub'.
“My gratitude to all of you who have conveyed your condolences on the passing, early this morning, of my Aunt Sudha. She is in a far better place now and I’m sure she is happy to be reunited with my late Uncle Keshub. I also know that she would be happy to have made her transition on the auspicious day of Guru Purnima I will always remember her for how she nurtured and protected her family and bore every loss with courage and compassion." Anand Mahindra wrote on Twitter.
Sudha Mahindra was actively involved in charitable activities. She worked with various organizations to promote education and healthcare in India.
Keshub Mahindra, the former chairman of the Mahindra Group and the man largely acknowledged to be the one who set up and accelerated the groups' tractors and SUV business, passed away at his residence on 12 April, 2023.
Keshub Mahindra passed away at the age of 99 in Mumbai.
The news of his death came just days after he was featured again in the Forbes 2023 billionaires list, with a net worth of $1.3 billion. Keshub had led the Mahindra Group for 48 years as Chairman and expanded it from being an automobile manufacturer to other business segments like IT, real estate, financial services and hospitality.
He played key roles in forging business alliances with global majors such as the Willys Corporation, Mitsubishi, International Harvester, United Technologies, British Telecom and many others.
Born on October 9, 1923, in Shimla, Keshub was a graduate from Wharton, University of Pennsylvania, USA, and joined M&M in 1947 and became the Chairman in 1963.
Keshub and Sudha are survived by their three daughters Uma, Leena and Yutchika, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
