The NSE Nifty index closed 133.5 points up at 19322.55, while BSE Sensex ended up 486.49 points at 65205.05.
On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.82 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.80 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.72 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 1.30 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 1.19 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
