Mumbai rainfall update: The metro city is expected to receive moderate rain in city and suburbs with possibility of occassional intense spells in next 24 hours, said IMD in its bulletin. Mumbai's maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to remain around 30 degree Celsius and 24 degree Celsius.
“For 48 hours: Moderate rain in city and suburbs with possibility of occasional intense spells. Maximum & minimum temperatures very likely to be around 30 deg. C. & 24 deg. C. Respectively," said IMD in its regional daily weather report on July 1.
Talking about the rest of Maharashtra, IMD has predicted light to moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall in parts of Western India. Rainfall will be witnessed in parts of Konkan, Goa and Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra during next five days and in Gujarat state during next 24 hours.
“Light/moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated Heavy to very Heavy rainfall is very likely over Konkan & Goa and Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra during next 5 days and Gujarat State during next 24 hours," said IMD in its latest report.
IMD predicts heavy to very heavy rainfall in these parts of Maharashtra
As per IMD's latest bulletin, heavy to very heavy rainfall can be expected at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya, Uttarakhand, Konkan and Goa and Madhya Maharashtra. Heavy rainfall can be witnesset at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Gujarat state, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kariakal, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala and Mahe.
Other than rainfall, squally weather speed of 40-45 kmph gusting to 50 kmph (max) is expected along and off Kerala-Karnataka-Maharashtra-south Gujarat coasts.
