The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall for the next five days in several states including Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, and others.
In its latest bulletin, the weather office wrote, “A fresh spell of heavy to very heavy rainfall likely over south Peninsular India from 02nd July 2023. A cyclonic circulation lies over central parts of south Uttar Pradesh & neighborhood in lower & middle levels."
In Himachal Pradesh, incessant rains has led to a flood-like situation in Himachal Pradesh. The heavy rain has disrupted the normal life of people.
Heavy rains lashed many parts of Mumbai on Saturday, resulting in the deaths of two people. The two people died in Mumbai's Govandi area in the afternoon and their bodies were fished out by fire brigade and police personnel.

2) Central India: Light/moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls very likely over Madhya Pradesh during next 2 days.
3) West India: Light/moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated Heavy to very Heavy rainfall is very likely over Konkan & Goa and Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra during next 5 days and Gujarat State during next 2 days.
4) East and adjoining Northeast India: : Fairly widespread to widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated Heavy to Very Heavy falls very likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar, Assam & Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh during next 5 days. Isolated heavy rainfall also likely over Gangetic West Bengal on 30th June & 03rd July; Jharkhand on 03rd and Odisha on 03rd & 04th July.
5) South India: Light/moderate scattered to widespread rainfall very likely over Kerala & Mahe, Coastal & South Interior Karnataka during next 5 days. Isolated heavy rainfall also likely over Coastal Karnataka & Kerala during next 5 days; South Interior Karnataka & Tamil Nadu during 02nd-04th July; Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Rayalaseema on 03rd & 04th July; Telangana on 04th July. Isolated very heavy rainfall also likely over Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu on 03rd & 04th July.
