Tehzoon Karmalawala has accomplished an extraordinary feat by embarking on a solo expedition across India, inspired by the Centre's 'Dekho Apna Desh' campaign. Over the course of one and a half years, starting in October 2021, the Pune-based businessman covered a staggering distance of 63,000 km in his sports utility vehicle (SUV), traversing the diverse landscapes of the country.

During his remarkable journey, Karmalawala visited an impressive array of natural wonders, including 104 national parks, 54 tiger reserves, 32 elephant reserves and over 40 world heritage sites. His objective was to document and showcase India's breathtaking beauty, highlighting its rich and varied landscapes, as well as its abundant flora and fauna.

From the arid deserts of Rajasthan to the lush rainforests of the northeast, from the majestic peaks of the Himalayas to the captivating Andaman Islands, Karmalawala captured the essence of India's diverse natural wonders, according to ANI.

This holistic approach provided him with a profound understanding of the nation's rich heritage and its remarkable biodiversity.

Karmalawala's remarkable expedition has earned him recognition from the India Book of Records and World Records India for achieving the 'Longest Continuous Exploratory Expedition'. Motivated by a desire to promote awareness and emphasise the importance of urban forestation, he intends to share his experiences and knowledge through a video web series and a captivating photo-book documenting his extraordinary odyssey.
