Adani Transmissions(down 6.34%), Power & Instrumentation(Gujarat)(down 5.00%), Inox Wind Energy(down 4.18%), Inox wind(down 2.32%), Indowind Energy(down 1.93%), Adani Power(down 1.88%), ADANIGREEN(down 1.12%), Energy Development Company(down 0.89%), Reliance Power(down 0.71%) and Torrent Power(down 0.66%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 216.95 points up at 19189.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 803.14 points at 64718.56.
Mahindra & Mahindra(up 4.2%), Infosys(up 3.26%), IndusInd Bank(up 3.04%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 2.92%), Hero MotoCorp(up 2.88%), Tata Consultancy(up 2.7%), Maruti Suzuki(up 2.6%), Larsen & Toubro(up 2.23%), Tech Mahindra(up 2.05%) and Power Grid Corporation of India(up 2.0%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(down 2.28%), Adani Enterprises(down 0.58%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 0.56%), Bajaj Auto(down 0.52%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.5%), Grasim Industries(down 0.48%), ICICI Bank(down 0.3%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.19%) and HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(down 0.12%) closed in the red.
